Recombinant D. melanogaster Ubiquitin-fold modifier 1 (CG34191)
- Catalog Number: CDRPO-3110140
- Size: 20 μg; 100 μg; 1000 μg
Target Information
Species | Drosophila melanogaster |
Target Names | CG34191 |
Alternative Names | Ufm1; CG34191 |
Expression Region | 1-83 |
Subcellular Location | Nucleus. Cytoplasm. |
Protein Families | UFM1 family |
Function | Ubiquitin-like modifier which can be covalently attached via an isopeptide bond to substrate proteins as a monomer or a lysine-linked polymer. The so-called ufmylation, requires the UFM1-activating E1 enzyme Uba5, the UFM1-conjugating E2 enzyme Ufc1, and the UFM1-ligase E3 enzyme Ufl1. This post-translational modification on lysine residues of proteins may play a crucial role in a number of cellular processes. The Ufm1 cascade might play a role in the development of the neuromuscular junctions. |

Reconstitution | We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20 °C/-80 °C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference. |

Storage & Handling
Storage Condition | Store at -20 °C/-80 °C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for multiple use. |
Shelf Life | The shelf life is related to many factors, including storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature, and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. |
Handling | Repeated freezing and thawing are not recommended. |
Limitations | This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Store working aliquots at 4 °C for up to one week. |
