Recombinant D. melanogaster Protein tramtrack, beta isoform(ttk), partial
- Catalog Number: CDRPO-3110943
- Size: 20 μg; 100 μg; 1000 μg
Target Information
Species | Drosophila melanogaster |
Target Names | ttk |
Alternative Names | ttk; FTZ-F2; CG1856; Protein tramtrack; beta isoform; Repressor protein fushi tarazu; Tramtrack p69 |
Subcellular Location | Nucleus. |
Function | Binds to a number of sites in the transcriptional regulatory region of ftz. Isoform beta is required to repress inappropriate segmentation gene transcription and repress genes incompatible with development of photoreceptor cell fates. Probable repressor of the transcription of the segmentation genes ftz, eve, h, odd, run, and en. Inhibits Trl-dependent activation of eve. May bind to the region AGGGC/TGG. Degradation of ttk is directed by binding of sinah or sina, via the adapter molecule phyl which binds to the BTB domain of ttk. A second method of degradation exists that is phyl-independent, this is mediated by recognition of motifs in the C-terminus of ttk. |

Storage & Handling
Storage Condition | Store at -20 °C/-80 °C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for multiple use. |
Shelf Life | The shelf life is related to many factors, including storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature, and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. |
Handling | Repeated freezing and thawing are not recommended. |
Limitations | This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Store working aliquots at 4 °C for up to one week. |
