Function

Transcriptional regulator with essential functions in the germline and soma. Plays an essential role in regulating the formation of apical cell extensions such as denticles and aristae, and initiating cytoskeletal remodeling during epidermal differentiation.; Transcriptional repressor which functions in postembryonic development. The full-length unprocessed form acts as a transcriptional repressor (Transcriptional repressor svb).; Transcriptional activator which initiates trichome development and also promotes tarsal joint development. Has an essential somatic role regulating the tal-dependent formation of trichomes, and initiating cytoskeletal remodeling during epidermal differentiation. Function with SoxN is required for correct denticle morphogenesis on the embryonic epidermis. SoxN and svb appear to act both independently and in conjunction with each other to activate certain genes involved in denticle morphogenesis; Svb appears to be involved in regulating denticle length whereas SoxN regulates the denticle base circumference. Also functions in the development of other apical cell extensions such as bristles. Also has an important role in tarsal joint development, repressing expression of the N ligand Dl and defining its signaling boundary.; Transcriptional repressor which is specifically involved in female germline development, where it functions antagonistically to isoform D. Negatively regulates expression of otu and may also have autoregulatory activity. Negatively regulates expression of piwi in the primordial germ cells (PGCs).; Transcriptional activator which is specifically involved in female germline development, where it functions antagonistically to isoform C. Necessary and sufficient for normal oogenesis. Required in the primordial germ cells (PGCs) for normal development of male and female germline cells. Plays a role in germline sex determination. Binds the promoter DNA and positively regulates the transcription of the otu gene in a stage-specific manner. May have autoregulatory activity.

Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20 °C/-80 °C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Lead Time

Delivery time may differ from different purchasing ways or locations, please kindly consult us for specific delivery times.

Storage & Handling

Storage Condition

Store at -20 °C/-80 °C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for multiple use.

Shelf Life

The shelf life is related to many factors, including storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature, and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20 °C/-80 °C.

Handling

Repeated freezing and thawing are not recommended.

Limitations

This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Store working aliquots at 4 °C for up to one week.
