Mediator complex subunit 8 family

Function

Component of the Mediator complex, a coactivator involved in the regulated transcription of nearly all RNA polymerase II-dependent genes. Mediator functions as a bridge to convey information from gene-specific regulatory proteins to the basal RNA polymerase II transcription machinery. Mediator is recruited to promoters by direct interactions with regulatory proteins and serves as a scaffold for the assembly of a functional preinitiation complex with RNA polymerase II and the general transcription factors. Required for activated transcription of the MtnA and MtnB genes.

Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20 °C/-80 °C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Lead Time

Delivery time may differ from different purchasing ways or locations, please kindly consult us for specific delivery times.

Storage & Handling

Storage Condition

Store at -20 °C/-80 °C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for multiple use.

Shelf Life

The shelf life is related to many factors, including storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature, and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20 °C/-80 °C.

Handling

Repeated freezing and thawing are not recommended.

Limitations

This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Store working aliquots at 4 °C for up to one week.

For research use only. Not intended for any clinical use.
