Target Information
Species | Drosophila melanogaster |
Target Names | RpII15 |
Alternative Names | RpII15; CG3284; DNA-directed RNA polymerase II subunit RPB9; RNA polymerase II subunit B9; DNA-directed RNA polymerase II 15.1 kDa polypeptide |
Expression Region | 1-129 |
Subcellular Location | Nucleus, nucleolus. |
Protein Families | Archaeal RpoM/eukaryotic RPA12/RPB9/RPC11 RNA polymerase family |
Function | DNA-dependent RNA polymerase catalyzes the transcription of DNA into RNA using the four ribonucleoside triphosphates as substrates. Component of RNA polymerase II which synthesizes mRNA precursors and many functional non-coding RNAs. Pol II is the central component of the basal RNA polymerase II transcription machinery. It is composed of mobile elements that move relative to each other. RPB9 is part of the upper jaw surrounding the central large cleft and thought to grab the incoming DNA template. |

Reconstitution | We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20 °C/-80 °C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference. |
Lead Time | Delivery time may differ from different purchasing ways or locations, please kindly consult us for specific delivery times. |
Storage & Handling
Storage Condition | Store at -20 °C/-80 °C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for multiple use. |
Shelf Life | The shelf life is related to many factors, including storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature, and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. |
Handling | Repeated freezing and thawing are not recommended. |
Limitations | This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Store working aliquots at 4 °C for up to one week. |
For research use only. Not intended for any clinical use.
