  • Catalog Number:  CDRPO-3110195
  • Size:   20 μg; 100 μg; 1000 μg

Target Information

Species

Drosophila melanogaster

Target Names

CTPsyn

Alternative Names

CTPsyn; CG45070; CTP synthase; EC 6.3.4.2; CTP synthetase; UTP--ammonia ligase

Subcellular Location

[Isoform 1]: Cytoplasm; [Isoform 2]: Cytoplasm.

Protein Families

CTP synthase family

Function

Catalyzes the ATP-dependent amination of UTP to CTP with either L-glutamine or ammonia as the source of nitrogen. Constitutes the rate-limiting enzyme in the synthesis of cytosine nucleotides.; Required for assembly of cytoophidium in female germline cells. In nurse cells, CTPsyn filament assembly in the cytoophidium is regulated by Ack kinase which may thereby contribute to the control of CTP production at specific stages of oogenesis and development of the nurse cell membrane.

Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20 °C/-80 °C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Lead Time

Delivery time may differ from different purchasing ways or locations, please kindly consult us for specific delivery times.

Storage & Handling

Storage Condition

Store at -20 °C/-80 °C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for multiple use.

Shelf Life

The shelf life is related to many factors, including storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature, and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20 °C/-80 °C.

Handling

Repeated freezing and thawing are not recommended.

Limitations

This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Store working aliquots at 4 °C for up to one week.

For research use only. Not intended for any clinical use.
