Recombinant D. melanogaster 12 kDa FK506-binding protein(FK506-bp2)
- Catalog Number: CDRPO-3110325
- Size: 20 μg; 100 μg; 1000 μg
Target Information
Species | Drosophila melanogaster |
Target Names | FK506-bp2 |
Alternative Names | FK506-bp2; FKBP12; FKBP; EC 5.2.1.8; Macrolide-binding protein; Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase; PPIase; Rotamase |
Expression Region | 1-108 |
Subcellular Location | Cytoplasm. |
Protein Families | FKBP-type PPIase family, FKBP1 subfamily |
Function | PPIases accelerate the folding of proteins. It catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides. Binds to ligand-free TGF beta type I receptor, from which it is released upon a ligand-induced, type II receptor mediated phosphorylation of the type I receptor. Binding is inhibitory to the signaling pathways of the TGF beta family ligands. |

Reconstitution | We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20 °C/-80 °C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference. |
Lead Time | Delivery time may differ from different purchasing ways or locations, please kindly consult us for specific delivery times. |
Storage & Handling
Storage Condition | Store at -20 °C/-80 °C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for multiple use. |
Shelf Life | The shelf life is related to many factors, including storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature, and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20 °C/-80 °C. |
Handling | Repeated freezing and thawing are not recommended. |
Limitations | This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Store working aliquots at 4 °C for up to one week. |
